Material movement in grinding jar of planetary ball mill

Planetary ball mill is a three-dimensional planetary ball mill, which is an essential device for mixing, fine grinding, wet grinding and small batch production of materials. It is used in colleges and universities, scientific research institutions and enterprise laboratories to quickly grind research samples to colloidal fineness in batches, and to mix, homogenize and disperse.

There are five main ways of material movement in the grinding jar of laboratory planetary ball mill:

1. Pulsation: The material moves away from the center of revolution as a group, and after the jar rotates to a certain angle, it slides in the opposite direction of the rotation. The grinding body pushes the powder layer on the grinding jar, exerting compression, shearing and friction on the material.

2. Dropping: After the material rotates to a certain angle with the grinding jar, it leaves the jar wall and drops when the pressure on the jar wall is equal to zero, exerting an impact on the material.

3. Circulation: The material rises along the concentric circle trajectory, and then falls layer by layer in a circumferential state, exerting extrusion, grinding and friction on the powder.

4. The material moves in a circle with the grinding ball and slides relative to it, exerting friction on the powder.

5. Tightness: The material at the jar wall rotates with the grinding jar without sliding, and loses the crushing effect, but it can be used to protect the inner wall of the grinding jar and reduce wear.
