Factors affecting the grinding effect of laboratory ball mill:

1. Rotation speed

The rotation speed of ball mill is the main factor affecting the grinding effect of ball mill. If the rotation speed of the tank is too low or too high, effective crushing cannot be carried out and the grinding effect is not ideal. Only at an appropriate rotation speed, the material is crushed by the strong impact, grinding and impact of the grinding medium in the cylinder, and the crushing efficiency is higher in this state.

2. Particle size, weight, hardness, size ratio and filling rate of grinding media

The particle size of grinding media directly affects the crushing effect and efficiency. The ratio of large and small grinding media in the cylinder will also affect the crushing efficiency. Generally, the ratio of grinding ball diameter is determined according to the feed particle size, particle size distribution and experience. Increasing the filling rate of grinding media can increase production capacity and output, but it should not be too high.

3. Amount of the material to be ground

The amount of material should not exceed 50% of the total volume of the ball mill tank to improve the grinding efficiency.

4. Grinding method

It includes dry grinding and wet grinding. Dry method: simple operation and large product particle size. Wet method: complex operation and fine product particle size.
