Planetary ball mill is a commonly used equipment for powder research. It is inevitable to  have some problems due to running at high speed or using for a long time. The following are common faults of planetary ball mill and their corresponding solutions.

Common faults of ball mill:

1. No display after the inverter power switch is turned on: first check whether the power supply is normal, and then check whether the power switch is damaged.

2. The inverter has a display, but the motor does not start when the run button is pressed: first check whether the two ends of the seven-core plug connection are tightly plugged in, check whether the ball mill protective cover is properly covered, and then check whether the safety switch (travel switch) is damaged.

3. During the ball milling process, it is found that the speed of the large plate has dropped significantly or the speed is uneven, and the rotation is weak：this is because the motor transmission V-belt is worn and it needs to be replaced.

4. Abnormal sound suddenly occurs during normal operation of the ball mill: shut down immediately, check whether the ball mill jar is loose, and restart the ball mill after tightening the bolts.

5. The ball milling sound suddenly decreases or disappears during normal operation of the ball mill: shut down immediately, unplug the power cord, and turn the ball mill jar by hand. If one or more ball mill jars are found to rotate poorly, the gear is damaged and it needs to be replaced.

6. Metal friction sound or smell are found when the ball mill is running normally：shut down immediately and unplug the power cord. Pull the puller sleeve by hand. If the shaft is loose, the bearing is worn and needs to be replaced.
