The ball mill jar is a configuration part of the planetary ball mill, which can be used to load grinding balls and samples to achieve sample grinding in a sealed environment. According to the different types of samples and grinding conditions, the planetary ball mill can be equipped with different types of jars to deal with different grinding situations.
Types of jars commonly used in laboratory planetary ball mills:
1. Stainless steel ball mill jar
Many samples can be equipped with stainless steel ball mill jars, which have certain rust resistance and acid resistance, but under the high-speed motion of the planetary ball mill, some metal impurities in the stainless steel jars will be mixed into the samples.
2. Agate ball mill jar
The agate ball mill jar has strong corrosion resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance, and wear resistance. More importantly, it will not cause metal pollution to the sample, so it is an ideal ball mill jar material.
3. Zirconia ball mill jar
The zirconia ball mill jar has high hardness, high density, wear resistance and impact resistance, good toughness, not easy to break, and will not pollute the sample. It is a ball mill jar with a very high specification in the planetary ball mill, which is suitable for almost all samples.
4. Vacuum ball mill jar
The vacuum ball mill jar is suitable for grinding flammable, explosive and oxidizable samples, as well as samples that need to be isolated from the air. It is generally made of stainless steel.
5. Temperature-control ball mill jar
The temperature-control ball mill jar is a special jar developed for temperature-control planetary ball mills, and is suitable for samples that require temperature-control grinding.
